Exceptional Absence During Term Time
Please contact the school to seek permission to take a pupil(s) out of school during term time.
Free School Meal Entitlement
Is your child entitled to free school meals?
Due to the introduction of Universal Credit, Manchester City Council will no longer be able to tell us which students are entitled to free school meals. For this reason, it is important for parents to check their eligibility online so that we can provide your child with a lunch free of charge and also receive additional funding which we will use to support your child’s education
Remote Learning
Please see this page for information regarding how your child can access their school work during this difficult period.
Keeping Your Child Safe
Here at St Peter’s, we are committed to keeping your child safe both in the time they spend with us and in their future lives. We strive to ensure that young people are alert to potential dangers in the world around them and are able to make informed and sensible choices.
MyEd App
We are very pleased to announce that we are introducing a fantastic new way to communicate and share information with you, our parent community. At St Peter’s we want you to feel as much a part of their education as possible. With the increased use of smartphone technology, we want to make the best use of it.
Online Safety Advice
Keeping children and young people safe online is one of the biggest challenges facing society today and it is all of our responsibility to ensure that children are educated to make positive, informed choices when they are online. In school it is included in the school curriculum in computing lessons and during special assemblies.
The use of technology and the Internet has become an essential part of 21st century life for communication, education, business, leisure and social interaction.. The positives of the digital world overwhelmingly outweigh the negatives but we all need to be aware of the various online risks.
This Online Safety page gives you important information about school procedures and useful advice for staying safe online.

Teacher Assessed Grades
In order to help teachers gather further evidence to help with the grading process, there will be a period of assessments in each subject taking place from Tuesday 4th May. This will form another part of the evidence gathered for your child.
Please read the 'JCQ document Guidance for students, parents and guardians: GCSEs and AS/A Levels in England. Summer 2021', which should help you understand the process we are following.
