Lives Not Knives is a powerful student-led film created by the students of St Peter’s RC High School, Manchester, in collaboration with families whose lives have been profoundly affected by knife crime.
Through real-life testimonies, personal experiences and messages of hope, the film highlights the devastating impact of knife crime on individuals, families and communities. By sharing the voices of parents and loved ones who have experienced unimaginable loss, the film brings home the real and lasting consequences of youth violence.
Created by young people, for young people, Lives Not Knives aims to encourage reflection, spark meaningful conversations and inspire positive choices. Designed for use in schools, colleges and youth organisations, it serves as an educational resource that promotes safety, responsibility, resilience and respect for life.
At St Peter’s RC High School, we believe that education has the power to change lives. Through this project, our students hope to raise awareness, challenge attitudes towards violence and help create safer communities for future generations.
