The RE Faculty was delighted to welcome Father Frankie Mulgrew to school on Monday 23 March.

Travelling straight from Salford Cathedral, Father Frankie immediately captured the attention of his Year 9 audience with his unique blend of faith, humour and energy.

He had the students laughing, clapping and even dancing, while also encouraging them to reflect prayerfully on the deep mysteries of healing miracles and the Eucharist.

What might have been a quiet and reflective session quickly became something far more memorable. With warmth, humour and a natural gift for storytelling, Father Frankie brought his message to life in a way that truly resonated with everyone present.

From the very beginning, he engaged every student in the room. His lively and relatable style made even complex ideas feel accessible and meaningful. Laughter and curiosity filled the space as he shared his experiences, making the session both enjoyable and thought-provoking.

By the end of the session, it was clear that he had made a lasting impression. The Year 9 students were not only attentive but genuinely inspired, hanging on his every word. It was a powerful reminder that faith, when shared with joy and authenticity, can be both deeply moving and wonderfully engaging.
