During this half term we began our celebration for Advent, pupils attended Advent masses where they were invited to take part in our ‘adventure’ which included opportunities to show kindness and respect.
We also fundraised for Caritas and Revive, which is a charity for refugees and migrants. Forms also brought in lots of non-perishable items which meant we could create hampers for the families within our local community.
Half term 2 links to article 22 ‘Refugee Children’, during this half term we raised money in our houses for Revive and we celebrated ‘International Migrants Day’.
Article 24 ‘Health, water, food and environment’.
As it was Human Rights Day and World Childrens Day this term we were able to think about ALL of the Convention.
This half term we had our award assemblies, one of the awards given out was a ‘Values’ award. This was given to several different Diversity Council members across all years for all the work that they do.
