Outstanding performances 

• We currently await the School Sports Magazine publication of school rankings. St. Peters has frequently been recognized as a top performing school for Sporting success.

• 4 students named in football representative teams: Darren Oshodi and Tade Muriwa (both Y11). Ayo Fagbenle, Wonder Njie, Willem Kirongoza and Jasper Mantato (all Y10) represent Manchester Boys and Greater Manchester Boys. 

• Multiple boys at football Academies including Manchester United, Manchester City, Burnley, Salford, Huddersfield, Liverpool and Port Vale. 

• Past student Bendito Mantato (Class of 2024 – left in 2022) represented England at the U17 World Cup in Qatar in November 2025 and also made his Premier League debut in December for Manchester United against Wolves. 

• 4 current Y11 Boys progressing onto football scholarships for 2026/2027 season (Tade M, Darren O, Jash M – all Burnley and Dominic S – Huddersfield) 

• Everett A progressing onto a Basketball scholarship with Myerscough for Y12/13 studies. 

Indoor Athletics: 

• Y10/11 Boys Indoor Athletics Team – Manchester Schools Runners-up 2025/2026 

• Y8/9 Girls Indoor Athletics – Manchester Schools Champions 

• Y8/9 Boys Indoor Athletics – Manchester Schools Runners-Up 

• Y7 Boys Indoor Athletics Team – Manchester Schools Champions 

• Y7 Girls Indoor Athletics – Manchester Schools Runners-Up 

Outdoor Athletics: 

• Y7/8/9 Boys and girls Crowned Overall Manchester League Champions 

• Y7/8/9 Girls Team crowned Manchester Combined League Champions 

• Y8/9 Boys Athletics team crowned Manchester Schools Champions 

• Y8/9 Girls Athletics team crowned Manchester Schools bronze medalists 

• Y7 Manchester Schools Champions 

Basketball: 

• U14 Boys progressed to the Last 16 of the English Schools Co-Ed Cup  

• U16 Boys progressed to the National Schools semi-final  

• Y7 Jr NBA NW Regional Basketball Champions  

• Y8 Jr NBA NW Regional Bronze Medalists 

Rugby League: 

• U16 Girls attended the NW Regional Festival and were unlucky to miss out on qualification to the National rounds on points difference 

Football: 

Y7 Boys football team have started impressively in their first term:  

• Y7 R4 of English Schools 

• Y7 Boys finished as Runners up of their league 

• Y8 have gained promotion to the Premier Division for 26/27 after winning the Championship 

• Y10 Boys are likely to finish as runners-up following some injury hit games. 

• Y11 Boys finished unbeaten in the league with 2 wins and 2 draws to finish as runners-up of the Premier Division to WRC ‘A’ despite beating them 5-2 in their final season 

• 10 & 11 Boys teams were both unfortunate to be knocked out of the Manchester Cup at the semi-final stage 

• Y7/8 Girls have played competitive fixtures in the Manchester Cup 

• KS3 Girls continue to attend ½ termly Manchester Schools Girls Festivals  

Netball: 

• Y7 Girls Manchester League Runners-Up 

• Y9 Girls Manchester League 3rd place
