St Peter's is
the lead school for Teach Manchester ITT

St Peter’s RC High School is the lead school for Initial Teacher Training for Teach Manchester, working in partnership with both MMU and the University of Manchester.

Our programme offers a school-selected route into teaching, designed to develop the skills our partner schools are looking for in an Early Careers Teacher (ECT). By spending more time in school at the start of the programme, you will feel fully supported to start your teaching practice. You will build your skills through observation, reflection and attendance at both  Teach Manchester sessions and university-led sessions, gaining classroom confidence as your teaching commitment increases across the academic year. Our initial teacher training programme is designed  to help you meet the requirements for QTS and to be awarded a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) by the accredited university. You will also be awarded 60 credits towards a Masters qualification upon successful completion of the year.

Applications for Teach Manchester are made through Gov.uk. Visit www.teachmanchester.com to find out more about our available programmes.
