Would you like to be a School Parent Governor?

Are you:

  • A practising Catholic?
  • Interested in the education of young people?
  • Passionate about Catholic education and its vital role in advancing the mission of the Church?
  • Prepared to work as part of a team responsible for the strategic direction of St Peter’s RC High School

Nominees would not be expected to have a direct knowledge of current education law, of School organisation or Governance but should be willing to learn and dedicate reasonable time to their responsibilities.

They would be expected to have a genuine commitment to the educational, personal and spiritual development of young people and in particular to the wellbeing of the school community as a whole.

Appropriate training opportunities will be made available.

Appointments are made for a four-year term of office. You can resign at any time. If your child leaves the school you can continue as a Governor until the end of your term of office.

 

According to our last Ofsted Report, we are a good school, with many outstanding features and have since then thrived to make our teaching an outstanding experience for our pupils:-

 In February 2017 Ofsted told us that we are a committed and enthusiastic team and that our pupils appreciate the culture of high aspiration. They said the school had:

established an ethos in which every pupil is valued and respected and thrive in the orderly and purposeful learning environment
