St Peter’s Named in the Top 30 Schools for Sport in the UK

St Peter’s has been named 27th best school in the country for sport, beating thousands of other schools to make the illustrious list as named by the PE and School Sport Magazine. This is the 6th year in succession that St Peter’s has been named in the top 100. This is a result of the hard work of students and PE staff collectively.

Contributing to this success has seen an immensely busy first term of sporting action. There have been over 70 fixtures and events seeing over 400 students engaging in clubs and fixtures. There have been multiple successes in a range of sports with the year’s first silverware being collected in the Indoor Athletics Championships for Years 10 & 11 boys and girls teams.

The Year 10 and 11 Girls Netball teams have both made impressive starts to their season and both are well placed in their leagues. The boy’s football competitions are well underway, as too are the basketball events as all teams reach the latter rounds. After Christmas will be just as busy as Cheerleading, Rounders and Outdoor Athletics commence. Look out for further updates in the 2019 Easter Newsletter.
