We are pleased to invite you to a very useful session aimed at parents to offer advice and guidance on how to keep your children safe online. As a school, we understand the pressures parents are under in making sure their child uses social media responsibly. We recognise that it may bring many positive features to our pupils’ lives, but can also be a source of worry and concern.
We have invited Tim Malster from Parent Zone to speak to parents in school on Thursday 24th January 15.45 - 16.30. The session will focus on some of the risks our children face and how you can help if things go wrong.
For Year 8 parents, this will be followed by your child’s Parents Evening and information about Option’s Choices. Year 7 parents are invited to just join us for this session.
Year 7/8 can be a challenging time for pupils as they begin to use social media in different ways and we are also delivering workshops to the pupils during the day through this highly recommended organisation. It would provide a great opportunity for you to feel more informed about what your child is learning and how best to support them.
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday and hope you can attend.
