Berlin's Carl Zeiss Oberschule Make History First Visit to St Peter's!

20 German students and two staff from the Carl Zeiss Oberschule in Berlin made their inaugural visit to St Peter’s in January, as part of our school’s commitment to establishing international links and by doing so, broaden the horizons of the young people in our care.

The itinerary included an exclusive behind the scenes tour of Manchester Town Hall by the Lord Mayor, an educational trip to Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industry and time in school partaking in lessons with our students. Our students were delighted to welcome their German friends to St Peter’s and had already corresponded with them prior to their visit. Establishing a partnership between our two schools and further visits were discussed between staff and we hope that in the not too distant future, we will see St Peter’s students make the return leg and take their first steps on the streets of Berlin!
