Oxbridge University Conference
On Wednesday 27th September ten Year 11 students went to Manchester University to attend an Oxbridge University Conference. This was aimed at students who may consider applying to Oxford or Cambridge University after sixth form college. The students were given some invaluable information about choosing A Level courses at college and advice on making successful UCAS applications.
Friendships Strengthen with School 66
On Sunday 24th September, very early in the morning, our next group of visitors from our partner school in Beijing arrived at Manchester Airport.
We now have a well-established system of immediate (same day) after-school detentions for students who:
• Fail to bring basic equipment/essentials to school (Pen/Planner)
• Arrive late for any lesson (with no legitimate reason) in one day
• Reach Stage 3 on our Behaviour Ladder.
Putting the Student Planner into Action
All students are expected to have their planner with them at all times. On entering their lessons, they should take their planner out and place it on the desk and record the title of the lesson and any supplementary information that the teacher may ask them to record.
