Congratulations to year 11 on achieving excellent GCSE results. 59% of St Peter’s students achieved the headline figure of A*-C in English and mathematics which is one of the most impressive results in Manchester. Many students achieved a string of A* and A grades in a host of subjects while results by all students were the best the school has achieved in recent years.
Opening the envelope with the results in is always a nervous time but there were many broad smiles as students saw what they had achieved. Our school photographer and the photographer from the Manchester Evening News were present to capture some of the excitement generated by the very good results.
I am very proud of the achievements of this year’s year 11 and of all the staff who taught them.
These excellent results have been achieved because of the hard work of the St Peter’s staff, the support of our students’ families and the commitment of the students themselves who have shown the ability and the determination to succeed.
I wish all our students every success as they embark upon the next phase of their careers. Well done year 11!
